beginner 2

In our beginner two throwing classes, we teach students how to throw new forms on the wheel each week, and support them as they continue to work through the fundamentals. This class is a multi-level course for anyone beyond beginner.

We offer spots to current city mud students first for this course, and taking one of our intro classes is typically the best way to secure a spot in our Beginner 2 classes. With that said, if you’re interested in taking the class and are not a current student shoot us an email!

Classes are $325 and include unlimited open studio time (outside of other class/event times), and 5 bisque/glaze firings.

Classes run for 6 weeks with one 3 hour class per week.

intermediate wheel classes

Our intermediate classes are for people who have taken Beginner 2 once or twice or have been throwing consistently for over a year.

Theses classes have a focus on a specific form or goal for the class. Some examples of intermediate classes we have offered are our dinner party class,  lamps class, and our collaboration class with The Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Arts. The fall session intermediate class will be a tea and cake class!

We offer spots to current city mud students and members first for these classes, and they often fill up before we are able to offer spots to the public. With that said, if you’re interested in taking the class and are not a current student or member shoot us an email!

Classes are $325 and include unlimited open studio hours, and 5 firings.

Classes run for 6 weeks with one 3 hour class per week.

one time classes & workshops

Each month we offer one time throwing classes for folks who are interested in giving throwing on the wheel a shot but aren’t quite ready to commit to a 6 week class!

Additionally, we have one time events at the studio every few months where students can learn a more specialized skill.

Learn more about both of those on our events page!
