city mud at home
city mud at home is our all inclusive home studio membership option, delivered and installed in your house by our team.
At home wheel memberships cost $350/mo with a minimum commitment of 3 months
The current at home wheel membership offering will begin on March 15th and run until June 15th! Members will be charged on the 15th of each month.
city mud at home membership includes:
Shimpo VL-lite pottery wheel and stool
custom shelving unit built into the end of the wheel for easy pot transfers while throwing- shelves are removable
water bucket, sponges, tool kit, bats, and plastic for wrapping pots
canvas wedging board to be used on any table
25lb of Rocky Mountain BMX per month and 30lb of reclaimed clay per month (any additional clay can be purchased at the studio)
15 bisque and 15 glaze firings per month under 10x10x10” (additional firings can be purchased at the studio)
firings are cone 6 oxidation
clear mat for beneath the wheel set up to protect floors from water
plastic storage bin for transporting pots to and from city mud
three 3 gallon buckets to use as a clean up system that won’t damage your drains
access to city mud glazes and city mud glaze room for up to 5 hours per month
studio is open and accessible to members 24/7
access to city mud member events and workshops
a dedicated pot drop off area shelf at the studio and a text from us when your pots are in the kiln
the option to bring reclaimed clay to the studio to be recycled
an at home orientation to your new set up where we can answer any questions you have!
city mud at home recommendations & requirements:
All at home studio members will need to come to the studio for a 30 minute orientation.
You aren’t required to have pottery experience to be an at home member, though we recommend it!
If you are new to pottery you will need to schedule a 30 minute glaze lesson with us so that you are comfortable glazing independently in the studio. Our glaze lessons are $35 and about 30 minutes long
We also offer private lessons at the studio if you would like some hands on instruction! We offer at home members 25% off one private lesson.
The at home membership setup requires 4’x5’ of space near an outlet.
We will deliver the home set up up to an hour away from city mud
Members will be responsible for transporting pots and clay (initial batch of clay will be delivered at studio install) to and from city mud.
