throwing demo with Kazu Oba
**Because of member demand, we’ve added an afternoon session to this event from 1-3pm**
Kazu Oba is a sculptor and potter based in Colorado. Kazu has studied under pottery masters in both the United States and Japan, where he was born. His work, Obaware, has been used in restaurants all around the country including Sushi Den, Bruto, and the Wolf’s Tailor in Denver.
At city mud, Kazu will be live throwing forms on the wheel and discussing aspects of his ceramic process such as throwing off of the hump and salt firing. There will also be a Q & A section which we encourage folks to think about before the event. We are so excited to have him here. This is a listening and watching workshop, so there will be no throwing done by attendees!
The event costs $25 and is non-refundable
